Ohio Foodshed is your one-stop source for information about local food in Appalachian Ohio.This free online resource provides comprehensive directories of regional food producers and the local businesses that support them so that consumers to make an informed decision about where they buy their food. We provide resources to farmers and businesses to increase capacity and boost sales by allowing them to connect with buyers and one another. We’ve also created a social network to provide a platform for conversation and information-sharing that we hope will support and expand our local food system.

What is a Foodshed?
A foodshed refers to all of the food that is produced and consumed in a specific geographic location. When we define this area, we can see how the decisions we make about food will impact our region. This allows consumers to take an active role in building a thriving and vibrant local community.
